Useful things to gather when describing a site

None of this is required. It simply moves any quote from estimates to the actual building sooner.

• Twelve months of electricity bills, or an export of half-hourly readings from your supplier. Consumption shape matters more than annual total, because it decides how much of your own generation you can use rather than export.
• The roof plan or a recent survey, including membrane type and age, and any record of remaining warranty on the covering.
• Your incoming supply capacity in kVA, usually on the main breaker or the supply agreement. It sets the ceiling on both export and EV charging.
• Any planned works: a re-roof, an extension, a change of occupancy or a lease event. Sequencing renewable works alongside them avoids paying twice for access.
• Constraints worth mentioning, such as listed status, a conservation area, shift patterns limiting site access, or landlord consent requirements.
